*Unofficial I believe since I think that, being a round robin tournament, the HoF Tipoff doesn't actually crown a champion (correct me if I'm wrong), but Providence ran the table so we're claiming it as a preseason tournament championship.

So that makes the Big East 2-for-2 in preseason tournaments. I fully expect this to be 9-for-9 when all is said and done. Would be 10, but unfortunately Georgetown and Butler are in the same tournament so only 1 can win it (hopefully they'll meet in the final).

So that's 2 down, 7 to go. Keep it up boys!

The teams then played 2 more games at Mohegan sun with a champion of each division being crowned on Sunday. I think there was a chance there could have been a tie but that didn't happen. Past champions of the Naismith division were North Carolina, Ohio State and Kentucky. Not sure why their website doesn't list this. Good venue not the best organized.
