Easy answer for me now that conf season has arrived. Beat the 7 teams that have already been ranked. Last year it was mediocrity beating up on mediocrity except for a couple of teams. No body cared unless you beat one of the top two. #107 beating up on #55 didn't do anything for the teams or the league. Now when X plays their next 10 BE games, we will be playing 7 very good teams,( ranked/previously ranked/soon to be ranked) and people will notice and be interested. So beat the best teams in the BE and you get ranked. Simple.

We know Georgetown will be ranked, any chance Providence or Butler get ranked? We really deserve atleast 3 ranked teams at this point.

just looking at coaches poll-
teams that lost this week-
#4 Villanova to Georgetown
#8 Maryland to #23 Indiana
#12 Iowa St to Texas Tech
#18 Texas to #14 Kansas
#20 Oklahoma to #14 Kansas, #21 Baylor
#22 Dayton to Davidson
#23 Indiana to Ohio St
#24 Seton Hall to DePaul, Butler
#25 Stanford to #7 Arizona

would think Oklahoma, Dayton, Seton Hall out for sure. Not quite as sure about Stanford

looking just outside the poll to find 2-3 others with Georgetown
#26 Arkansas won both
#29 Colorado St beat San Diego St
#32 Ohio St beat Northwestern and #23 Indiana

I think Butler would have had a LOT better shot had Seton Hall not lost to DePaul.

Just looking at the list, I would think Georgetown could get in around 20 this week easily, if not even a smidge higher.

Butler was pretty clearly better than Georgetown for nearly their entire game until it was decided on that three to take the lead. I can't imagine they'd be marked too far down by the voters for that

A number of teams ranked in the 17-25 range lost this week, so I expect Butler to be ranked.

Would love to see PC make the cut in the AP poll. Having the little number next to our name on the FOX national broadcast vs St Johns at MSG would be huge. That said I bet we get snubbed

For what it's worth, Seth Davis has Nova as 9, Georgetown as 19 and Providence as 24. He also has Indiana (who lost to Georgetown and was just beaten by unranked Ohio State as 13  ).

As much as I'd love to see Butler ranked, I don't see it happening. I think they'll be 29-31. I see Providence and Georgetown ahead of them, with Georgetown ranked in the lower teens to upper 20s, and Providence will be between 26 and 30.

Butler was +4 in the first 10 Minutes of the game, next 10 minutes were even. Hoyas won the next 10 minutes by 5, Hoyas won the last 10 minutes by 1.

Butler started out well and we didn't bring it to start the game. After that Georgetown was pretty clearly better than Butler for nearly their entire game. I agree that they shouldn't be marked too far down by the voters for losing at Georgetown, but the better team won that game.

Yeah, it didn't which is partially why there'll be a significant spread in the next game.

It took a miracle. Congrats. All that stuff about gift horses and all, no one is blaming you.
