A nice article concerning improvements at XU basketball this year. Looking especially at the new craft beer area at Cintas.

One of the biggest changes to the 10,250-seat on-campus arena won't open until Dec. 6, when Xavier opens D'Artagnan's Deck. That's a craft beer area that's on the upper concourse behind Section 200, on the end where Xavier's bench sits. Xavier is working with its concessionaire, Chartwells, to come up with a rotating lineup consisting mostly of local craft beers.

Thats cool that you guys sell beer on campus. I thought it was only the NBA arenas that sold beer at games.

Private schools can do what they want as far as alcohol. Public schools are governed by whatever the state rules are.

St. John's is private but they won't sell beer. Sucks!

They can't sell large sodas either, right? Or is that just convenience stores?

That was quickly shot down and rightfully so. It is not a law in NYC.

Chartwell's also runs the food service at the Student Center at DePaul University.

Beer is also sold at the Allstate Arena, where the DePaul Blue Demons Men's Basketball team plays.
