Good stuff! although him saying we plan on being the best "basketball only" conference should go without saying. We should strive to be the best basketball conference period.

Regarding expansion:
One question the conference might face in the future is whether to expand from the 10 schools that banded together to form the new league in July 2013. Seven members of the original Big East joined with Creighton, Xavier and Butler in the reconfigured conference.

“We’re like a Fortune 500 company that just pared itself down,” Jackson said. “We have to get back to what we do best before we can look at growing again. It’s not only our determination and it’s not only contingent on us.

“It’s contingent with what happens in college athletics. There may be opportunities down the road that we would be able to expand. Right now, today, is not the time to focus on that.”
