Holtmann said that Jones will be used more as a Point Guard this year, with Barlow spending more time as a 2. Our Middle Linebacker is now a Point Guard!

AD Collier calls Miller's illness 'a tragic type situation' and 'very concerning' yet expects the coaching situation to be resolved by mid season.

I wonder if he plans to have Holtmann permanently- and just waiting to make sure that he has a decent year.

If it's a tragic type situation- you aren't going to give him back the keys to the car.

For those concerned that Butler's coaching situation would hamper recruiting, both of our verbals signed today.

Great news for you guys! Hope Coach Miller is well on his way to recovery, but at this point would it be more disruptive if he returned this season?

I seriously doubt Miller ever returns. You just know the coaches would use his "situation" big time in negative recruiting.

Hope things work out for coach. He seemed like a class individual and a nice guy.

Although it was a good job by Holtman to keep these guys signed recruiting undeniably taken a huge hit (although it was struggling pretty badly before Miller took his leave too). A two star, who I believe I read is the only other 2015 player Butler even has an offer out on, just chose Harvard over Butler and I have to imagine a huge reason for that decision was based on the fact that Butler doesn't have a head coach in place.

Butler has already started a downslide since joining the Big East and Stevens leaving and the longer they go without having an actual head coach in place the more they are probably going to continue to struggle on the recruiting front. That being said, Miller has put them in an extremely tough position because what they really need to do (in my opinion at least) is go outside of the program for a replacement but they obviously can't do that until the spring (and Collier has proven he won't do that anyway).

So losing a recruit to Harvard is a bad thing? If you didn't know, Harvard is an Ivy League school. A degree from Harvard is a golden pass for life. Harvard is ranked in the top 10 in every academic related poll. Normally it is 1 or 2. A free pass to Harvard, where it costs $70K per year to attend....whoa!! Harvard also has an excellent basketball program under Amaker. He has made Harvard a top 25 program and they have been NCAA tourney participants in the past three years.

Not sure what is wrong with Harvard. As much as I love Butler, I can't see a downside in this.
