Based on the results of the last vote, the next few seem pretty predictable but we'll start the poll anyway.

10 - DePaul
9 - Butler
8 - Creighton
7 - Marquette
6 - Seton Hall
5 - St. John's
4 - Providence

I put Xavier here. Someone tell me how Semaj's minutes get divided up by the guys this season.

I would say Remy Abel is expected to get most of them. Lots of younger guys will be fighting for minutes behind him and Dee Davis.

I think I speak for most X fans when I say that other than Dee/Remy - who the hell knows.

I'd assume Brandon Randolph backs up Dee and gets 10-15 minutes a game, though I hope we don't see any of Dee/Randolph on the floor at the same time. Maybe Larry Austin Jr. sees some minutes here as well.

Behind Abell, I'd think Myles Davis would get the first shot, with Macura possibly getting minutes as well (though, with his size and the lack of having any "true 3's", I'd assume he'll play there).

I disagree completely, actually. Larry Austin will be the backup PG due to his good IQ and defensive ability. Also I see Edmund Sumner as a guy that could really push those starters due to his length and ability to score.

The Xavier backcourt is incredibly deep this year. I could see the freshmen jumping guys like Myles Davis and Randolph if they perform well in practice. Guys are going to have to fight it out from now until November and throughout the season to get PT because there will always be a good guy behind them.

I think Trevon Bluiett would actually be considered a true 3 that can slide down to the 4, Macura and Abell would be on the wings, when we play small. This team is incredibly deep and scoring should not be an issue with this team as has been in recent years.

After reading the last few posts, I'm not convinced Xavier can't give Villanova a run for the money! (But, then again, I'm easily impressed when my heart is involved!)

I am really excited about the Musketeers this season and watching which guys step up. While the out of conference schedule doesn't offer a lot of great games, it should still be really interesting to watch the younger guys evolve around Dee Davis and the Big Stain. I voted Xavier 3rd though, and I think that is fair. Villanova is the clear #1, and I think Georgetown is going to have a huge bounce back year. Xavier should be an NCAA Tournament team, but I expect Georgetown to spend a lot of time in the top 25.

I guess I was right that the 30+ voters for providence might actually pick Gtown. Holy smokes I guess we should just assume how the break down went for the fourth place vote meant we knew how things would shake out when all of those other voters got to have their say.

Not sure how Xavier should be expected to be better than G'Town. They still have their best player. Xavier does not. We will see though.
