This is a vote between the two schools who tied for 6th place. Open for 24 hours only.

Who do you think will finish in 6th place - Seton Hall or St. Johns? To be more clear, of these two which team do you think finishes with the worst Big east record?

So far:
10 - DePaul
9 - Butler
8 - Creighton
7 - Marquette

I can't see SHU being better than: SJ, Xavier, Nova, G'Town, Marquette, or PC. History will show you that starting with lots of rookies (unless they are top 5 can't miss UK type players) usually does not equal success.

By the way, Lindy's magazine picked us to finish 2nd. So it's not just me being a homer calling people biased against SJ who pick them 6th or 7th. From 2nd to 6-7 is a big jump.

Lindy's or not, this poll has now been made a choice between SHU and SJU for one place in the standings. In that match-up alone, I'll take SHU. I honestly don't see any large gap in the depth or talent levels between the two teams, but I do see such a gap in the quality of the head coaches and that is the basis for me for choosing SHU for 6th place.

That's a joke right? If you want to talk about large gap in coaching at least mention Villanova vs. us. Or hell even Creighton vs. us. That makes sense. But to say a guy who was about to be fired (and is still on the hot seat) and only saved his coaching life by signing a recruit's coach in an all-out attempt to get him is a great coach is a joke. Willard is a nobody. You know what you keep forgetting? The GAP IN EXPERIENCE! What happened the last time we had a very experienced team at key positions all over the floor? Top 15 ranking and our first NCAA berth since god knows when. Now I'm not predicting a top 15 ranking, but it just goes to show how much experience can help.

I'll take my bet with the battle tested stud recruits as veterans over some fresh unproven meat any day. SJ had way more talented recruits come in as babies a few years back and they were overwhelmed. As I've said, the only times you really see recruits making major instant impacts as freshmen are the consensus top 5 recruits who go to UK. I don't see IW as any different than Jordan in terms of potential and Jordan averaged under 10 PPG his rookie year and made lots of mistakes. He got red hot late in the season and will build upon it this year. IW will not put a superman cape on for SHU. Until SHU's new recruits get some experience and prove they can handle the Big East, they won't have my respect.
