Today Georgetown held the ground breaking ceremony for their new state of the art 144,000 square foot on campus practice facility. In attendance were Recruits Bryant Crawford, and Skal Labissiere. Also NBA Alumni Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Allen Iverson, Roy Hibbert, Jeff Green, Greg Monroe, Otto Porter, Henry Sims, Jahidi White, Jerome Williams and many more Basketball Alumni. Also present was Providence head coach Ed Cooley(maybe he's recruiting in the area?).

Very impressive set of speeches and people in attendance. Gotta be impressive for the recruits, but also a great show of the strength of the conference. The Big East is willing to spend the money to compete at the highest level, and that is the most important thing.

The Center is named in honor of John Thompson Jr. Cooley and Harold Starks went to represent PC for a fellow conference mate and a PC alum.

According to posters, Cooley's wife was with him. Just a sign of respect for JT since he is a PC alum.

How could a recruit possibly turn down G'twn after hanging out with that list of alums? Pretty cool experience I would think for a HS kid. Well played JTIII.
