Sounds like bad news on several levels. I hope somebody in administration pulls their head one of these days and gets things moving in the right direction.

As an aside, I'm glad I voted Depaul 10th in the HLOH fan poll. This makes me want to put them all the way to 11.

Wonder what other kind of "team rules" the Blue Demons have in place... That's just nuts, and the negative news just never seems to stop for DePaul.

My goodness, the DePaul program needs to just hit the reset button. Start from scratch. They've got the new arena coming, and hopefully they get a new everything else. Not only are they recruiting (or not recruiting in many cases) kids who can't play basketball well, but they are also recruiting criminals. Great.

What a dumpster fire for the league.

If McKinney was a "standout" guard for DePaul returning from a junior year where he averaged 3.9 pts per game, then that tells the whole story of why DePaul has been an also-ran in the Big East for such an extended period of time!

Last season, Jamee Crockett was bench for most of season for a violation of team rules. Brandon Young got benched for a half of one game. As well as DePaul's best player Cleveland Melvin for about half the games last season until he was finally expelled from DePaul University and the university will only say he violated team rules. Their best player now is guard Billy Garrett, Jr. His father, Billy Garrett is an Assistant Coach for the DePaul Blue Demons. Sophomores Tommy Hamilton IV and R.J. Curington showed some promise last season. Illinois transfer forward Myke Henry should add some skill to DePaul's Men's Basketball team. Junior College (Dayton State (Florida)) transfer Junior forward Rashaun Stimage should be decent he is a Farragut Career Academy High School alumnus (South Lawndale in Chicago, IL). DePaul's only returning Seniors will be Forrest Robinson, Greg Sequele, and Jamee Crockett. If DePaul doesn't finish outside the Big East Conference cellar, Head Coach Oliver Purnell's days at DePaul would likely be numbered. Even without Melvin, DePaul only lost by one basket to Marquette at home (Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL).
