I think Creighton finishes 8th, but I guess I have to vote for Marquette since I picked them 9th.

Yeah was unsure how to proceed. I feel the same way had Marquette 9th and Creighton 8th in my mind.I actually have Butler 7th. I actually voted Creighton 8th in this poll, I'm going to vote my belief at each position unless it's not an option, but your way probably makes more sense.

My gut tells me Marquette, no bigs and just on a down-turn with Buzz leaving.

My brain tells me Creighton, they have lost A LOT. Dougie was their heart and soul.

Brain wins.

I went Seton Hall. I think CU will surprise and MU will be better in conference play with the addition of Fisher than in OOC without him.

I'm obviously biased, but I think Marquette finishes 8th. It's certainly possible that Creighton does, but I think their home-court advantage gets them through a number of home games in conference. They've only lost two games at home since November of 2012. And their season ticket renewal rate was much, much higher than most anticipated this season after the departure of Doug and Co.

Roster wise, CU returns their starting PG and PF; Cal transfer Ricky Kreklow at SG; SG James Milliken, who redshirted last year and has apparently been better than anticipated; and they add two top-100 freshman in Ronnie Harrell (6'8" shooting guard) and Leon Gilmore III. Lastly, Devin Brooks is capable of pouring it in if he gets going. He's also capable of having 8 turnovers in a game, which may limit his minutes. I think he's the key to the season. If he can be a consistent scorer and limit his turnovers, Creighton could surprise some people this year.

I agree. Except I don't think it'll be Marq in 8th either. If you can find 1-2 guys who can shoot the rock decently (35+% from 3) then CU will do well. Big fan of Chatman's skill set. Smart, quick, upperclassman guard with good vision who can penetrate is a good place to start. He may be a poor man's Bryce Cotton this year and carry the team to some wins.

I hope I am wrong but I must put Marquette at #8. Buzz was a great coach in my opinion and losing him plus several starters must hurt badly. I suppose Creighton may claim the #8 spot as they have lost the best player in the country (at least the best offensive player) but lets give the dubious honor to Marquette and call it a rebuilding year. I will also predict XU will finish second. I can't wait for the "who finishes in 2nd place?" poll.

Weren't they picked to win the league last year and then crashed and burned?
