2014 Orlando Summer League Schedule (NBA.com)

Orlando, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic will host the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League at the team's practice court at the Amway Center from July 5 to July 11, 2014.

The 25-game, seven-day event will feature the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Each team will play five games over the seven-day event, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league. A point system will establish the standings leading up to the final day, with eight points awarded each game based on: four points for winning the game and one point for winning a quarter (in the event of a tied quarter, each team will receive 0.5 points). In the event of ties in seeding heading into championship day, three tiebreakers will be in place: 1) total point differential; 2) total points allowed; 3) coin flip.

Now that rosters are official you can add:

Maurice Sutton (Villanova Alum) to the Thunder's Summer League Team

Hollis Thompson (Georgetown Alum) is on the 76ers Summer League Team ( but he is under contract like Otto Porter)

In the First game Dajuan Summers put up 12pts 6 rebounds in a Nets win.

Different Chris Crawford. Marquette's Crawford has not been in the league since '05. The one playing for the Rockets summer league team is a Memphis alum.

Semaj Christon had 8 pts, (2-4 FT 3-4) 4 rebounds in 18 mins. including a buzzer beater at half. He seemed to play under control for his 1st stint while everyone else just jacking up shots.

Watched the game with Semaj, they pretty much gave him the reigns yesterday and he did pretty well. Pushed the ball and played aggressive, but a little too tentative offensively, would've liked to see him drive and shoot/pass out more often.

Oklahoma City Thunder 98, Brooklyn Nets 84 (NBA.com Box Score – Monday, July 7, 2014)

Semaj Christon - DNP - Coach's Decision

2014 Orlando Summer League Roster: Meeting the Thunder Players

22 - Semaj Christon, PG (6-3, 190) Xavier
Originally drafted to the Miami Heat (actually the Charlotte Hornet's pick because of the trade) at 55, Christon was traded to the Thunder for cash. With good size for a point guard, Christon is a fierce competitor who finds the rim relatively easily. His jump shooting may cause him some issues in the future, but that can be worked on. At Xavier University, Semaj was a star. In his freshman season, Christon recorded 15.2 points per game and 6.2 APG. In his sophomore season, he scored 17 points per game. In the NBA, his size gives him a good chance of being a decent scorer, but his jump shot holds him back.

2 - Nolan Smith, PG (6-2, 190) Duke
Nolan Smith is known for his illustrious career at Duke University. In 2010, Smith was a vital role in the NCAA Tournament Championship team. By his senior season, Smith was averaging 20 PPG and won ACC Player of the Year. Smith bounced around from the NBA to the D-League to Europe. Now he is back and is ready to showcase his play. He is an all around solid point guard who never truly made it in the NBA.

Former Duke star Nolan Smith regains form at NBA Orlando Summer League - Monday, July 7, 2014

Nolan Smith got off to a rocky start in the NBA’s Orlando Summer League, but the former ACC Player of the Year – who is trying to hook on with the Oklahoma City Thunder – showed a little of his old form Monday.

Playing his third game in as many days, the former Duke guard scored 11 points on 3 of 4 shooting (making his only 3-pointer) in leading the Thunder to a 98-84 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.

Smith also made all four of his free throws while recording four assists and three steals without committing a turnover. Smith had scored only five points with two assists and five turnovers in his first two games combined.

You forgot 5 assists.

OKC is rotating a lot so yesterday he sat while Jeremy Lamb, Mitch McGary and Nolan Smith played.

Alrighty, enough for my morning forum barrage, back to work.
