Can we get this done?

I think Cuse's main demand is for Georgetown to stop the ticket restrictions at Verizon.

Coach Hopkins wants it. A home n home or a 1-1-1 with the the extra game at MSG/Barclays or Wells Fargo would be nice.

Based on earlier discussions, I think a lot of Big East fans feel like the Syracuse ship has sailed and we've moved on. On the other hand, I'd like to see Boeheim actually go on the road to play a non-conference game for a change.

Agree on both counts. Not a Hoya fan but I would say I'd rather see them turn the KU series into a rivalry and/or develop a rivalry with a team from our FOX Sports partners in the B1G.

Hoya fans are very split on this.

I am of the opinion that Hating Syracuse is a very big part of my Georgetown experience and it saddens me that I might not be able to pass that hate onto my kids one day and it not mean the same thing it once did.

I would be in favor of playing them every year. I would prefer a straight home and home.

I think Syracuse needs the series more than Georgetown at this point since Maryland left the ACC. Syracuse wants a game in DC they obviously have a lot of alumns in DC. I don't think the Hoyas should budge on their ticketing policy which is the same for all big games( Sell to your own fans first and delay sale to the public later than the rest of the games). Plenty of schools have the same policy and Georgetown should do nothing to accommodate Syracuse. But I do think the game should be played.

You do understand that if that happened, ESPN would get the Big Ten home game every time.

Agree. No accomodiations. Treat them like any opponent when it comes to tickets, etc.

Hate to be that guy, but Georgetown needs to get that game. Swallow your pride, it is a great rivalry and can only help your RPI.

No disrespect but, they need us more than we need them. They need the DC market to recruit. With Maryland in the BIG 10 they now have no traction unless they schedule MD instead. Not the same cache however. I wish both Nova & St. John's would have turned their backs but, that ship has sailed. Without the Beast schools they really don't have any presence to NYC (except early season exempt tourneys), Philly, & DC markets. My dumb pride says don't ever schedule them again but my mind realistically says this deal should only be accepted if fair to G'town period.

They need Georgetown more now definitely than they did when they left the Big East now with Maryland leaving. The thing with Nova and St John's- if Syracuse wanted to they could get games at Temple easily(probably would have been able to get Wells Fargo) and not that much of a difference- or a neutral site game at Barclay's- and it's also not as big of a deal. Not to mention the early season exempt tournaments. Georgetown is a bit different because there's no real other options for Syracuse outside of Maryland.
