If you could have one opposing BE player...

Hypothetical... If you could hand pick one player or two from another BE roster for '14-15, and put him on your squad, who would it be and why? It's easy to go with a DSR or DeAngelo H. I guess since they are two of the best players but we already have guards that can score. I thought of which guy(s) would compliment our style of play or fill a hole.

I think I would take in order:
1. R. Jordan (SJU) - move Arch to 2G and gain a big penetrating PG; think he's going to have a HUGE year for SJU (if Lavin can coach him up)
2. L. Henton (Prov) - can play multiple positions, can hit the big outside shot and plays bigger than his height would suggest; perfect Nova wing
3. J. Reynolds (X) - gonna be a beast; we could always use some more front court help and having a physical specimen like him would be welcomed

Other thoughts?

1) DSR. Almost had him to X originally, take his scoring any day next year
2) Ryan Arcidiacono. Somehow I think his calming presence and shooting would fit in nicely next year
3) Henton. Would fit in nicely at the 3 next year.

Nice thread.

1.) Darrun Hilliard- St johns needs a small forward in the worst way and I just absolutely love the way this kid plays. Can shoot, defend, play make. Hes around 6'6 and can help your team in so many ways.
2.) Archiadicano- Kid just makes winning plays every time I watch him.
3.) Pinkston- Almost went with DSR but pinkston is the type of bruiser who is never afraid to mix it up and put his body on the line that I just love on my teams.

Yea, im a pretty big fan of Novas roster.

I'm not sure one player solves all of Butler's problems, so I'll just do one from each team:

Creighton - Chatman
DePaul - Hamilton IV (Garrett, Jr. would be fine too, but Butler is devoid of anyone with size)
Georgetown - DSR
Marquette - Luke Fischer
Providence - If you could rely on Kris Dunn to be healthy, him. Otherwise Chukwu.
Seton Hall - Whitehead, just because he's so talented
St. John's - Jordan
Villanova - Pinkston
Xavier - Stainbrook

Dunham - he's not the best player but I like that he wants the ball in the clutch.

With The Hall's guards (Gibbs, IW, Sina) & wings (Carrington, Ish, Desi) I would love to add an intimidator like Obekpa from SJU to a frontline of Mobley, Delgado, Auda (maybe leaving), & our raw 7'0 transfer from Northwestern, Ajou.

If not Obekpa then I would take Ochefu fro Nova & play him next to Delgado so they could eat rebounds all game.

I'd take Jordan from St. John's to allow DSR to play off the ball exclusively. Second pick would be Stainbrook from Xavier to back up Josh Smith.

PC will have a deep team this year. But a couple players I would love to have.

1) Stainbrook, an effecient inside scorer that can pass out of the double team makes life so much easier.
2)Archie (nova). Like everyone says. A pg who plays under control and makes winning plays...would complement Dunn nicely.
3) DSR- He's just a great overall Player.
4) Another Henton. Kid is just the perfect college player. Won't wow you with any skill, undersized. But tough, gritty, can play inside and out, and makes winning plays.

I love the talent on the team next year but I think the Hoyas biggest needs are a solid PG, a scoring forward, and a backup C.

1. Sterling Gibbs - He needs to improve his shooting percentage but his numbers were pretty good for a sophomore
2. LaDontae Henton - I love his game and he'd be a nice fit with the Hoyas offense. He's undersized but he gets the job done. And he shoots it well enough from 3 point range to stretch the D.
3. Matt Stainbrook - Very good all around player and would fill in nicely for Smith. That's assuming Smith plays.

Rysheed Jordan for sure. Thought he did well as a Fr. on that "Nutty" St. John squad.
