Apparently, a joint press conference is being held later today to announce that the game will return to campus sites beginning this coming season. Word is leaking out to that effect anyway.

Common sense and cool heads appear to be prevailing in this one. It's the way this game should be staged, and this game should continue.

ESPN "Rivalry Week". That certainly fits.

Bringing back the traditional name "Crosstown Shootout". I think tempers have cooled more than enough to go back to the Shootout being played on campus

I can't imagine why they wouldn't show that game. Any Big East game against another "BCS" level opponent will get shown by FS1 IMO.

Yes. The article someone linked above clearly states Fox has the rights to the X home game.

The entire conversation on WLW earlier this evening only mentioned national tv ESPN rivalry week...I never heard FS1 mentioned and or struck me odd as to how Fox would give their blessing to that nonsense.

The Cincinnati home games are controlled by ESPN, the Xavier home games are controlled by FS1. I know Mick Cronin worked hard to make sure, when on ESPN, the game would be featured on ESPN's Rivalry Week along sides the classic rivalries like UK-Florida, Duke-UNC, Syracuse-Pitt, etc..

I personally like that, this is one of the best rivalries in college basketball but it isn't treated as such due to the lack of spotlight on the game since Huggins left us.
