I have word from an inside source that BC is targeting Tommy Amaker to replace the just fired Steve Donahue. After the job he's done at Harvard, Amaker would be a big hit with the locals in Boston. That's important because BC must turn around dwindling attendance,e hitch was down to about 4400 this year.

A local sportswriter says St. Bonnie's Mark Schmidt is also on BC's list.

That would be a terrible move for Tommy Amaker.

Yeah, I agree. He has a job for life at Harvard, and he wins in the NCAA's with them.
He should just wait for K to retire at Duke.

That was my reaction when I was given the information, but nonetheless that's what I was told.

Saw on the Friars board that Amaker to BC is being reported by Dan Shaughnessy at the Globe. So good job Bill, and it's cool that you run in the same circles as the "Curly Haired B-st-rd"**...!
