just looking at things from a pure RPI standpoint...
right now 9 conference champs have been crowned with RPI worse than 50...
There are 9 other conferences yet to crown champs that the champ will be worse than 50...
So, that would make it where if you are in the RPI top 50 going purely by RPI you are in...
now, the way i'm seeing it, I see 3 teams in the RPI 50 that shouldn't make it....
#33 Southern Miss
#48 Minnesota
#49 Missouri
I see 3 teams outside the RPI top 50 making it
#51 Kansas St
#53 SMU
#54 Iowa
The team that is really interesting is #52 NC State. I think if they could upset Duke today, they will likely get in. Not sure who would get left out. I'm thinking it may be #31 BYU. I think that- outside St Bonnies or Georgia stealing a bid, the committee should have their at large picks done pretty early tomorrow actually.
The others in rpi 55-59 would be.... Florida St, La Tech, Belmont, Green Bay, and Iona(Manhattan is 60 but already in). Don't see any of those getting a sniff at all. After you get past that- there's really not much even remotely possible...
