MSG TV Atmosphere Looked Excellent...!

From the comfort of my living room, the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden last night looked excellent. It was loud, and it seemed as though even during normal gameplay, there was constant buzz was going on throughout both games, and the stands looked filled. And this was for our 8/9 and 7/10 games.

I was wondering if anyone who was at the games could give their first hand impressions of their experience last night. Last night was really just the warmup in intensity.

Also, looking at other opening nights from other conferences, they seemed like a cross between library and a funeral parlor. The Temple-UCF game was empty. Boston College vs Georgia Tech was pretty empty too. The Oklahoma State game was a little better than those two.

The Pac-12 tourny was a ghost town, and they are in Vegas! If you can't draw fans to Vegas then you'll never be able to draw fans.

Not to mention the lights literally going out in greensboro yesterday, I'm sure Syracuse fans are digging north carolina.

I didn't hear about the lights going out... I did read that they curtained off much of the seating...

Ok, found it... nice, a 10-minute delay late in the 1st during the Ga Tech-BC game...
I guess it happened last week too during the women's tourney.

I was thinking this too. It looked pretty raucous for a Butler vs. SHU game. I think that bodes very well! Nice to see the fans coming out regardless of record. I just wish they didn't have these tourneys during work.

I was watching the TVs in the arena for a bit. Raf and Gus had about 4 empty rows directly behind them when coverage started, but the energy picked up as the game went on. Butler students did a good job and I thought the Seton Hall fans were spirited. Night game was exciting as everyone sort of starts pulling for the underdog in a game like that. Today should be great. Was just out and about this morning (note -it's damn cold) and saw the Villanova and the Seton Hall cheerleaders either on the street or coming off of buses. Really looking forward to the energy of the PC-SJU game.

You'd think with all of that football money they'd be able to pay their electric bill! Greensboro is no MSG! LOL!

There were over 13k at the Garden last night according to the box score which was great for the opening rounds.
