The BET quadruple-header quarterfinals opens at noon.

Seton Hall (8) vs #3 Villanova (1), 12pm at MSG.

The Hall held on last night over Butler with some timely D in the last seconds.
Villanova looking to start their postseason off right, as they look for a BET tourney title and number-1 seed in the NCAAs..

Definitely not holding my breath on this one, but the Pirates are playing with house money now. A team with nothing to lose is a dangerous team. Go Pirates!

The Pirates fans that I spoke with last night after the game weren't very optimistic. Should be a fun day of hoops.

are my eyes deceiving me on the ESPN scoreboard online or is Seton Hall up 8 at the under 12 timeout?

Now, let's just speculate on this for a split second. I'd kind of think this would be bad news for PC or St John's- in that the winner of their game, if they lost to Seton Hall, it'd be considered a bad loss and likely would torpedo their tourney hopes.

Villanova looks very rushed so far - lot of quick 3's, no effort to get the ball inside. I don't think Villanova has made a 3 yet. Seton Hall can win this game if VU continues to play like this. Gibbs stroking 3's for SHU, now up 11.

Very good first half by Seton Hall! Love the effort! The free throw line is the main thing keeping Villanova in this game (yet it's hurting them at the same time, they're only 11-18). Fouling 3 point shooters is unacceptable and really bailed 'Nova out on some rushed 3s. Despite not having a good half, Fuquan Edwin in foul trouble will likely hurt. Overall, the big thing Seton Hall needs to fix is the fouling. Giving 'Nova another 18-2 edge in free throws is just gonna hand them the game.

Absolutely ridiculous decision to give Teague a flagrant there too. That's gonna be the turning point in this game.

Seton Hall is so much better than their reputation. Then again, I have supposedly always seen the Jekyl side during X's games.

the other thing this could do is I think especially if St John's wins today, I know they needed that 1 more good win. Seton Hall won't be that. Hate to say it, but could Seton Hall winning today force St John's to win the entire tournament? Now I know it'd be tough to see a 22-12 BE team out of the tourney, but with their profile, could see it. Very weird profile that they have quite frankly....
