Haven't officially announced it yet but it is a done deal. Well deserved.

As a Jays fan, I could live with that. He sure can't recruit as well as Mac, though.

I suspect Jay will win, but Mac does deserve some consideration. Nobody expected either team to finish top two.

Jay did a great Job... BUT Cooley's team was picked to finish 7th 0r 8th depending on poll. He lost Dunn for the year and Austin and Bullock never played a second. Yet they finish 4th with 20 wins and lost being the 3rd place team in a tie breaker.. That sounds like a Couch of the year to me!

Wright deserves it, even though he couldn't solve Creighton, he solved the rest of the Big East.

I was impressed with the demeanor of both Cooley and Wright this season. Believe me, the Jays love the move to the BE.

Congratulations to Jay - the fanbase appreciates this run probably moreso than 05 and 09 due to the sheer fact that the mojo was "rebuilt" from that 13-19 season only 2 year ago.

As for those claiming Cooley to be COY - I have been a follower of his career since he was at Fairfield (and know some of his former recruits), and his moment is definitely coming. His early career trajectory reminds me of Jay Wright's, and I think once the pieces all come together we will see a special season out of Providence like the old days (and on a more consistent basis).

Congrats to Jay Wright and Villanova. He helped put together a great season.

Big East really has a good collection of coaches going forward. Wright. McDermott. Cooley. Lavin. Williams. Mack. Thompson. Could you imagine if the league had Stevens??? :o

To the victor go the spoils. Well deserved.
