Big game on Broad Street at 2pm.
Georgetown at #6 Villanova.
Georgetown, victors over VCU, Kansas State by 30, and Michigan State, are looking for another feather in their cap, and a win over Villanova would put their RPI in the 40's. Villanova clinched the Big East regular season title vs XU last game.

Does Georgetown likely get in with a win here and loss first round?

I think they would be biting their nails on next Sunday. But win this one and one in the BET and they should be a lock.

I think a win here, and a lot would hinge on St John's/Marquette. If Marquette won, that would put Georgetown #6. Would think Georgetown would be in even with a loss, but who knows....
A win here, and if St john's won, Georgetown would be #7. Their game with Butler/DePaul would be a must win then as well- only because of the awful loss potential.

Damn…for being up over 20 points and a Big East championship locked up as well as a top 10 ranking, Nova fans are loudly booing the refs and the Nova coaches are laughing at the refs. You already won the regular season title, you are top 10, and you are up by over 20 vs. G'Town. I just don't like to see that. Don't be spoiled. Relish it.
This was a Nova team picked 4th in the preseason without 1 vote in the preseason top 25. And now they are #6. You could make the case they are having a miracle season. It's like that show "My Super Sweet Sixteen" where spoiled kids cry because the Range Rover they got was red and not blue.
Note: The announcers just said "Pinkston is from Brooklyn…Brownnnnnnnnsville Brooklyn!". We know. You guys won't let us forget it lol.

Sure thought the Hoyas would play better today. I imagine they need two wins at MSG - one over Creighton - to dance.

SJHooper (ahem, I mean Lavinwood) - Thanks for another backhanded compliment.
The team plays hard for 40 minutes, we are relishing this run plenty. There is still a lot of basketball to be played. See your team in MSG

It's not backhanded. It's just a legitimate thought. Your fans need to relax. Get pissed off when there's real reason to. Not when you go from unranked with 0 votes and picked 4th place to #6 and winning the regular season title. Just comes off as spoiled.
I'll give a compliment though: everyone on Nova can shoot. Everyone. I wonder how Jay finds these kids. Or if they come in raw then he must do a great job in practice. It's almost like pick your poison…pack in the paint and Nova will kick it out and rain 3's. Come up and play them on the 3 pt line and they will drive down low. I feel like every time Nova throws up a shot it has a very good chance of going in. I think their shot selection is a big part of this. They don't settle for contested shots, they make the extra 3rd or 4th pass to make sure their guy gets a clean look.
