Congratulations to Villanova on winning the regular season BE title tonight. The fact that you guys basically ran through the conference schedule undefeated except for one school is remarkable. As a Creighton fan, I was hoping for the title to come down to the last day, but you guys deserve it. Class program, class coach.

Thanks. We wouldn't mind it if we don't see Creighton again this year.

Absolutely.

Congrats to Nova. I suspect their team FT % will take them far in the Tournament. Their speed and good depth are going to shock people in the first two rounds.

Congrats to Nova but they in no way "ran through" the conference. Tons and tons of OT and 2OT wins as well as nail biter wins by single digits. They just made the big plays in crunch time whenever they had to. I knew Nova would be very good this year. Their fans have it so easy…the team always comes ready to play, they never lose at home, and they get top 10 wins like it's nothing. Hope you guys are relishing in it and not getting used to it. Next season will be very interesting with no Cotton, no entire Creighton team, key Seton Hall players, etc.

If by "tons and tons of OT and 2OT wins" you mean 3 of 15(so far), then you're correct. That's 2 overtime games and 1 double overtime game, Nova won 8 of 12 remaining BE games by double digits, with the closest of those being a 16 point victory. Nova's average margin of victory in their 15 wins is 14 points. So we won like 3 close calls at the end in addition to the OT games, good teams do that, they close out those type of games. So what point were you trying to make? Especially with those last 2 sentences, what about next year? We'll be loaded then too, probably the unanimous preseason favorite.

I stopped reading after this opening. What a surprise. Lavinwood/Hooper not able to give Nova the credit they deserve without the usual "they are lucky" drivel.

Thanks Jays fans. You guys are a class bunch and a great addition to the league. Hoping to see you guys in the BEt finals so we have a 3rd shot at trying to figure out how to stop you guys. I almost feel like if we can beat you guys then it may give us some added confidence in knowing that we could beat anyone. To this point we remain at: "we can beat anyone not named Creighton."

Nice season Nova! Go get a national championship (but flame out in the BET, if you would. We kind of need the help :D )
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Congrats Nova...Creighton tried to stop you from winning the league by beating you twice...what the hell happened to the rest of you slackers in the BE? It is a just a joke.

Hopefully we will get to play you one more time!

I'm with you, Lavinwood. St. John's was clearly the far superior team to Villanova. It took a conspiracy beyond anything in the JFK murder to bring Villanova the championship and to deprive St. John's of what was rightfully theirs.

1. It all begins with the refs who clearly were paid off by Nova people handing wins to Nova and depriving SJU of victory after victory.

2. Then there were the basketball gods themselves. call it Luck. Call it Fortune. Call it Bad Breaks. But it all comes down to the same thing. Someone up there just doesn't like St. John's and is out to torture their fans. How else can anyone explain SJU losing so many games they SHOULD have won?

3. Lavin himself was clearly working o behalf of Villanova by undermining a gifted and talented SJU squad from accomplishing what they would have even if they had no coach. In fact they would have been better off if they had no coach.

4. We had to go deep to find this little known fact, but stick with me on this one. SJU was dealt a devastating blow with the unexplained deaths of Rysheed Jordan's uncle and aunt, 2 very important figures in his life who had convinced him to go to SJU and turn down an offer from Nova. Well, connect the dots. Where were they murdered? Where is Nova located? Look at the timing. This was clearly a revenge killing, executed at a time when it would disrupt Rysheed's game and do the utmost damage to the SJU program. No doubt that Villanova people were behind it.

5. Obama Care. Clearly a program designed to wreak havoc on the St. John's program as it has on so much of the country. Do you think it's any accident that the program was timed to be implemented right at the beginning of the basketball season? Open your eyes, folks!

It is simply miraculous that St. John's has won as many games as it has with the deck stacked completely against them. I don't understand how people can't see just how good this team is . In my humble, humble opinion, this is clearly and easily the best team in the country. Only a combination of corruption, sinister forces, shadowy figures, and the gods themselves could have turned this season into the disaster it has become. You all know it's true. Watch the games. Follow the money.
