I like the Friars chances in this one as we're playing for an NCAA bid IMO. For whatever reason I like the matchup for PC and predict an upset 77-72 Friars win.

The way the Jays have been shooting the ball the past several games (SHU/X/GT), it's hard not to agree with you.

I'm holding out for a Senior Day return to the normal Jays' performance (owning the defensive glass so they can play up tempo offensively).

The consensus heading in the last few weeks seemed to be PC had no chance in this one, however I disagree. Jays are on a slide and PC beat them badly in first matchup, I'm hoping it's a matchup issue, but not counting on it..... Depends on if PC comes to play like their NCAA life depends on it, they are a jekyll and hyde road team and when their shots aren't falling on the road they are bad. Keys for PC are to stay in it, if they fall behind big early its over. If they can stay within 10 at worst even and cut it down to within 5 with 5 min left I'd take our chances, or better yet if they can play their very best and lead the way. Obviously we know Creighton when shooting it hot can be unbeatable and has Mr. McDermott. I'm hoping the emotion of senior day is too much and PC steals it. Jays 15-0 at home, gonna be tough.

One thing I'll say for Providence, their players got some fight in them. Real fun game last night.

PC can easily beat them, but I just don't see Creighton being swept by PC or losing 2 in a row in conference. Then again PC is a team of destiny getting this far with essentially 1 star player and virtually no depth. If PC makes the tourney Cooley needs to get Big East coach of the year. Too bad Cotton leaves next year. Could you imagine Cotton, Austin, Dunn, Ledo? Can't remember a team in memory that lost so much and had such low depth and appears to be a tourney team.

Also, this is not a slight, but I've never seen a team win 2 games because of 2 inbound plays to terrible ballhandlers when the other team had it won. Team of destiny!

Creighton has lost 2 in a row already so this would make 3! Makes me nervous too, hard to see a team of their caliber losing 3 straight and again we know they don't lose often at home as it hasn't happened once this season! Then again maybe they're due? Every other BE team has at least 1 loss at home.

Don't forget, PC lost a game they had wrapped up at home against Seton Hall (12/31) on bad inbound play in last seconds. Had they not bungled that one they'd probably be a lock right now.

I know I shouldn't do this because I seem to jinx the Jays but what the heck........prediction........Jays will not lose at home on Senior Day.

There, now go put your life savings on Prov. ;)

I think it's more the UMass game. If they won that one- they'd be a lock right now.

plugging into this RPI calculator a win vs the Hall instead of a loss on that home game 12/31 our RPI drops to a 38!!!! Changing Umass instead to a win puts us at 41. Looks to me like any single flip would have been a lock for us.
