I'd much rather be the 1 seed.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

A lot can change with those 3-6 seeds yet. But right now, it is a HUGE difference in terms of whether you are #1 or #2 seed, at least from the point of view of a Creighton fan and who I think Creighton fans would prefer to see. I think St. John's and X provide the most difficult matchups for Creighton in the conference, so being essentially guaranteed to have to play one of those two teams in the semis would be a huge difference from Providence or Marquette, I think. But a couple of wins by SJU and a couple losses by Providence or Marquette, and it all gets switched up -- of course then Villanova probably loses and Creighton gets back to the #1 seed with St. John's sitting there again!

Can't wait for this tourney!

Just looking at it- St John's could easily get the 5 seed.
The loser of the Providence/Marquette game will be 9-8.
Providence has Creighton left. loss
Marquette has St John's left.

So It's very likely I'd say that if St John's wins this week, they will be the 5 seed and thus likely away from Creighton.

... unless X gets Villanova, which moves Creighton back to the 1 seed and right back to St. John's!

so things seem pretty easy to some degree now even with 3-6...
1/2 Villanova/Creighton. If tied, Creighton gets it.
3 Xavier If they beat Seton Hall and Marquette beats Providence, they clinch 3. If they beat Seton Hall and Providence beats Marquette/loses to Creighton, they clinch 3.
6 Marquette/Providence loser- if they lose 2nd game(PC at 9-9 vs St John's 9-9- believe the difference would be Marquette- SJ 1-1, PC 0-2)- as long as Georgetown doesn't win out

So it'll look something like
1/2 Villanova/Creighton
3 Xavier vs 6 Marquette Providence loser
4/5 game will have St John's and Marquette/Providence winner
7 is Georgetown unless they win out or lose out and Seton Hall wins out
8 is Seton Hall unless they win out and Georgetown loses out
9 DePaul if they win vs Butler. If Butler wins- if Marquette finishes higher than St John's- Butler. If St John's finishes higher than Marquette- DePaul
10- DePaul/Butler

Don't forget, the 2 seed is probably is going to see Georgetown in the QF's, to win the Big East tourney champ in MSG you have to win 3 tough games, not a gimme in there anywhere.

We're not through with upsets. I'm guessing the bracket will change.

Based on this season, I dont think seeding will really matter.
I'd be surprised if a team outside of the top 4 didn't make the final.
