Second of two Sunday games in the Big East.

Marquette at #8 Villanova, 2pm, CBS.

This will be a rock fight. MU can get some serious RPI movement with a win at VU. The Cats won in Milwaukee in overtime. VU would win the regular season if they take their final 3 games. Great game to watch as we sit trapped in our snowed-in living rooms. Wouldn't mind one of those incidents where no one gets hurt, but multiple suspensions are handed out to Marquette for their following game on Tues vs PC.

Should be a terrific game. I'm supposed to go to a MAAC game tomorrow in NY, but it looks like I'll be staying home to avoid driving in the snow. I'm glad that I've got a good alternative. Maybe I'll drive over to Providence Tuesday night to get my live, in person game this week.

Big game for both teams. Can Marquette enter the at large discussion with a road Top 10 win? Can Villanova move one game closer to a Big East title?

Doesn't look like Marquette is gonna give Villanova much of a fight, down 11 in first half. I don't think they can keep pace with Villanova scoring wise.

Game is far from over as Marquette picked up the intensity in the last couple minutes. Although I do wonder if Vander Blue had stayed what the potential of the team could have been - I'm guessing they would have been a Top 25 team at this point in the season, and probably beaten either Wisconsin or Ohio St.

I wish I had an excuse, but this is who we are this year.

Nova looks like Creighton from beyond the arc right now. Sadly MU doesn't defend beyond the arc this year.

I really can't see any way Marquette gets an at-large now. They are officially a spoiler now IMO.

That technical and subsequent three pointer at the end of the first half (when it should have been MU ball down 6) seemed like a back breaker to me. Not that the outcome would have changed, but it felt like MU had a bit of momentum that could have carried into halftime. Instead, things got ugly.
