One Big East game on Wednesday night:

Butler at #8 Villanova, 8pm, FS1.

It seems like years ago now, but on New Years Eve the Dawgs and Wildcats played into overtime, in the first of several really tough OT losses for Butler. Butler at the time was considered to be a solid NCAA team based on their good OOC results. BU is coming off a close loss vs PC.

Villanova meanwhile continues to play great, including a tough win last weekend vs St John's at Wells Fargo.

I really like 'Nova's team. I think that team can do some real damage in the tourney.

But, for tonight, the entire Creighton fanbase will on the Butler Bulldog Bandwagon. Even the slightest little tiny bit of breathing room in this race for the conference title would be so much appreciated!

Seriously, though -- looking forward to another great Big East game tonight. I know I've said it over and over, but it never gets old being able to turn on the tv almost every single night and watch conference games being played. That's so new for Creighton fans, and so wonderful.

Sr. Night at the Pavilion. Would expect the team to be a bit fired up for this one. Much respect & love going out to James Bell our lone 4 year player on the roster. JB embodies what is good in college athletics. He's a mature kid (young man) who worked really hard to improve himself and the team over 4 years. He's a perfect example of a 3/4 star kid who works hard and becomes a big time player by the time he is a Sr. I'll take a kid like him over a one-and-done any day. Well except if that one-and-done is Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis.. :D

Well now I know Dunham and Arcidiacono are indeed two different poeople... and it's also clear Dunham lied about his height on espn.com (no way he's 6'6").

Quite the offensive explosion here in the first ten minutes.

Great pitching so far. Looks like Butler is getting a lot of ground balls.

This game is painful, low level of play all around. Nova has me a bit worried as we get closer to the post-season. No offensive rhythm recently.

I would not have wanted to be Khyle Marshall on that exchange.

This is painful to watch. Not quite as bad as Nebraska - Illinois, but not pretty.

Ok, this is more like it! Love the post play by Ochefu and then Jenkins finding his range from outside. Huge run by Nova, now up 29!
