Everyone is playing this coming Saturday, with some really great matchups.

Xavier at Providence, 12 noon, FS1.
#4 Villanova at Marquette, 2pm, FS1.
St John's at Butler, 4pm.
DePaul at Seton Hall, 6pm, CBS-SN.
Georgetown at Creighton, 8pm, FS1.

Each game has some great storylines. Teams with momentum looking to continue forward. Others who are trying to get their groove back have perfect opportunities.

Wow! Some really great contests. I'm very interested in the opener--Xavier @ PC. And, I'll be cheering for the Threejays vs. Hoya Saxa in Omaha in the nightcap.

The Georgetown-Creighton game is our annual "pink out" for cancer awareness. The entire arena will be filled with fans dressed in pink instead of the normal blue and the team plays in special jerseys that have pink trim, along with pink shoes. Even if you don't care about the game, it might be interesting to click over just to see the visual strangeness that all that pink creates.

Our head coach's wife (and Dougie McBucket's mom) is a breast cancer survivor, so the issue is especially important to them. The whole day is focused on raising money for cancer research. The players also wear special pink warm ups that are auctioned off in advance, with the money going to cancer research. I don't have the total this year, but I know it was a new record....

I have heard that JT3's spouse also had a cancer scare of some sort (I don't recall if it was breast cancer or something else), so it makes sense that Georgetown is the opponent for this one. I know in the past, opposing coaches have worn pink ties, had their kids wear shoes with pink laces, etc. I don't know if Georgetown has anything planned to coincide with the event his year (or if they even know about it).

The total was over $48,000 on the jerseys and basketballs signed by the team. Doug's went for over $11,000!

Note to Georgetown, as soon as the plane lands in Omaha, you better have someone in Wragge's shirt. Cause he will shoot it from there, and probably make it. This needs to be done even if it means throwing someone out of the plane with a parachute, Navy Seals style.

 The Omaha airport is close to our arena, but not that close.

I know that Nova fans think that Wragge was just pulling shots out of his arse, but I think if you check with Xavier and Butler fans, they might suggest that he did the same things against them. It took Creighton fans a while to get used to it too, but the dude can stroke it.

Yeah he can stroke it, I knew this before hand, but still 9 three's to tie a school record held by Korver isn't typical, no matter how you slice it.

Pfft - He only scored 6 points against us. Sure, we still lost by 28 and Creighton could've beaten us by 50 that night, but we're more worried about the real powerhouse players on the Jays. I mean Groselle, Hanson and Artino all put up more points than Wragge that night. Dude's a scrub ;)

If St. John's doesn't get their first win Thursday, I'd say they'll have a pretty good shot at Butler on Saturday. Hopefully that's not the case, but they are deep with athletes and Butler has had trouble scoring against athletic teams this season.
