Wednesday is an off-day for everyone, though the snow would have made traveling difficult anyway.
But then on Thursday:

Seton Hall at St John's, 7pm, at Carnesecca Arena.

- Nice NY Metro rivalry. Fan bases might be a little chippy due to their recent recruiting battles. Definitely should be an entertaining game with attitude, a lot of running and gunning, and a bunch of blocked shots. I'd recommend buckling your seatbelts.
- Seton Hall is looking to continue its torrid pace of late, having just won at Georgetown with a great second half. The Pirates are back to full strength and are starting to click.
- St John's has run into a funk and could use a win in a big way to get their momentum going. The Johnnies beat the Dartmouth Big Green last Saturday at home, which might get them back in gear.

Bump.

Should be an interesting game. St. John's can be a dangerous team if all the pieces come together, but Seton Hall has been playing well lately. I think the Hall will come away with the win.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this game shapes up. Seton Hall is coming off a nice win and St. John's is in desperation mode.

SJU may pull it out, but they are a mess right now and Lavin is on the hot seat. The SJU message board is understandably outraged and the NY post article mentions a lot of issues there. SHU is on the upswing and with their recruiting wins for next year appears to be headed in the right direction.

This game really scares me. Playing St. John's at MSG is one thing, playing them at Carnesecca is exponentially more difficult. This is their real home court. On the plus side, I think Seton Hall is a significantly better "team" but the scary part is that St. John's is undeniably a better collection of talent. That talent has under performed to this point, but you get the feeling that they can just explode at any point. When they click, they'll be very tough to beat. Hopefully that doesn't happen tonight.

downright embarrassing 1st half for Seton Hall. They looked like they collectively put some good money on St. John's tonight. No defense and countless stupid turnovers.

Seton Hall is back to running their offense from last season in which the only play in the playbook was "Turnover."

Reminded me of the home game against Providence last year. I believe at the under 8 of that game, they still had more turnovers than field goal attempts. And mostly unforced.

My God St. John's is such a brain-dead team. Can SHU take advantage?

No, no they can't. Turnover. Of course.
