...is the nickname the Nova players are calling McDermott. Not sure if a nickname will stick when given by an opponent, but I like it. I think it reflects the respect they have for him. Should be a fun one. Heading down there myself.

I think they're just using the nickname the media (or someone else, I really don't know who) coined for him. I've definitely heard it plenty of times before.

My bad... I had never heard it before. Assumed it was original. It is very apt. Jays fans can you provide the origin of the nickname so proper credit can be bestowed? I like it.

One of the national hoops writers started calling him that last year. I can't remember who it was -- Seth Davis or Rob Dauster perhaps? Maybe Jeff Goodman?

Pretty certain it was Troy Machir, then Dauster ran with it.
