So, we're all gonna be exhausted after Monday's three-course meal of heavy Chicago Deep Dish casserolle pizza-type stuff with Rhinelander on the side, Omaha-raised Philly cheesesteaks, and a Miller-beer-battered filet prepared by the White House chef at the Phone Booth...
...consider Tuesday's game as a sensible light Italian dessert on the Hill... a cool down night of a spumoni "slab" (don't see spumoni much anymore, just at Angelo's and probably Twin Oaks), or a cannoli ("take the cannoli...") ...anyway...
Butler at Providence, 9pm, FS1.
The first ever matchup of teams voted "Least Likely To Ever Have A Strong Rivalry" on HLoH (ok, there was no official vote), which means I half expect a Pier-Six brawl that may or may not include the Friar Dance Team, Jimmy Chitwood, Barlow's left elbow, Goldsbrough's Toon Army, Kadeem Batts' bad-ass-looking mouthpiece, the intense rebounding matchup of Woods vs Henton, plus a David Hasselhoff appearance, all wrapped into a 9pm start on a Tuesday...
- Butler coming off a crucial morale-boosting OT win at Hinkle vs Marquette. In only 1 game all year have they not been competitive. Lots of ball to be played, and they could easily make a run.
- Providence is coming off a big win vs Creighton, and needs to keep focus vs the Dawgs. PC needs, among many things, to keep track of Dunham, and make sure that Marshall is held in check too.
