A couple of things jump out at me that seem to be leading to an awful lot of (wrong) assumptions for the rest of the year.
So far the schedule makers have not been kind to:
1). SJU - @ X, @Gtwn & vs. Nova is a really tough way to start. SJU will not be a bottom dweller but some seem to think their season is essentially over unless they beat Nova. I disagree. They will get theirs.
2). Butler - vs. Nova, @ XU; two tough games, not favored in either. Them being 0-2 means little to me.
Schedule makers have been kind to:
1). XU - two wins against good BE teams but both in the friendly confines of Cintas; yes, they are certainly tough at home but are they as good as their 2-0 record indicates or just fortunate for 2 home games to start the season?
2). Gtwn - 2 home games to start season
I think many posters are looking at these results and not factoring in where teams are playing. I think the 3 most impressive wins this year so far are by SHU (@Prov), CU (@SHU) and Nova (@Butler). From what I can see (especially from the 3 new teams) wins will be really hard to come by on the road this year.
Go Nova!
