He sure looked like it today against Seton Hall. A review of Saturday's Big East action.

There used to be a time when if you had the best player in the country, you realistically hoped to go to the final four.
I don't think people are realistically expecting creighton to go to the final four (although I certainly hold out hope that they can, and I think my hope is founded in reality).
I'm rooting for him. But if they bow out first weekend, hate to say it, but that's a disappointment.

I don't think DMD came back this year to just make it into the tournament. And he can see MSG and Brooklyn and the Verizon Center in the NBA as well as in the Big East. Playing in the Big East is definitely a draw but this team has been disappointed the last two years not playing in the second weekend of the dance. I think this year they will be disappointed if they don't do some real damage.

I hope they play in the final four, and think they can.

It's a decent possibility.

I've been pleased with the Jays' ability to play good team defense thus far, and we've rebounded pretty well too. But we don't have that post player who can alter shots on the defensive end and give us an inside presence on the offensive end. Doug does very well inside on offense, but when he's out, we have five guys on the floor that want to shoot treys, and I think defenses will figure out how to cause us problems. GW did.
That said, I'm thrilled to be 2-0 at this point in the BE. The team is mature, so I think they'll approach each game appropriately and not assume any games are gimmes.

IMO, POY will go to one of the sexy frosh and Doug will be stuck with a third 1st Team AA nod. Not bad scraps.
