Agree. Home loss to seton hall is a season ender.

We now want providence to lose all their games except against seton hall and depaul.

The one thing this league cannot take is a perception of parity. We did too poorly this out of conference season to have that happen. We need the good teams to be good, and we need the bubble teams to beat up on seton hall, depaul and providence.

The worst thing for this league is teams like seton hall or depaul finishing around .500. Not because of anything against those teams, but because they had such poor out of conference efforts that we don't want our bubble teams to be compared to them.

Seton Hall fans seem to take pride in the fact that a big east team just blew its tourney chances. Why?

Look, nobody dislikes seton hall. People are pissed at seton hall because of what they have done to themselves. They are the ones that lost to mercer, st peters, and fdu. They chose to lose those games. They put themselves in the position to be looked at with dissdain for crushing the conference's rpi.

Other teams losing should not be a "hahaha, you suck as bad as we do" moment for seton hall fans.

We all want this conference to maximize bids. At this point, there are 3 teams that are out of an at large bid hope. Seton hall, depaul, and now providence. We need to all root against all three of these teams now.

If PC can't beat SHU at home without Teague, it's because PC sucks. If our 6'10 guy and our 7'0 could finish around the rim, we will going away.

Teague is our equivalent of Dunn for PC...Ayuda is a very key player that's just coming back making Teague's loss manageable. We were not at full strength but this is probable the second strongest lineup we've had since very early. People have been quick to judge us w/out seeing these guys gel. Edwin didn't even have a good game.

Unfortunately for seton hall fans that are waiting for this team to gel, this isn't the old big east where you could pick three or four ranked quality wins and make up for a bad ooc slate. Marquette and georgetown disappointed, creighton fell out of the rankings. At this point, if seton hall wins it makes the league look bad. It doesn't make seton hall look good.

And you can thanl kevin willard and mercer and fdu and st peters for that.

PC with an RPI in the 80s before this game had to do alot in league play to make it, they took a step back today.

Similar, but probably not equivalent. Teague is a beast and he has punished PC in the past. However, PC literally has no PG, and PG is arguably the most important position in college hoops. Further, it moves our best shooter and scorer out of his natural position, and his shooting has suffered greatly as a result.

Actually you're making the point that I was trying to. Your original comment was that beating SHU w/out Teague was inexcusable, while I was saying that w/Ayuda back it actually is a better scenario than we have had with other injuries this year. When Ayuda was out for about a month Teague's loss would have been even more similar although not equivalent.
