Thurs 12/12 BE Game Thread (1 Game)

One game is on tap on Thursday night:

Florida Atlantic at DePaul.

Another great chance for us to get another win.

In other news, I finally watched some UFC a few days ago on FS1. Man, that is some seriously intense, brutal action. Almost unwatchable in its brutality. Some pretty big Brazilian guy somehow lasted all three rounds even though he was bleeding from every part of his head... his opponent had him pinned and was just wailing on him with forearms to the head, just complete and utter savage wailing on the dude's head... at one point his mouthpiece went flying and i cant believe his teeth survived the punishment.

In another bout, another huge guy was getting mercilessly pounded, and finally dropped when he got hit in the temple... the guy slunk down like a rag doll and/or sack of potatoes. I couldn't watch another match that night because I thought someone was going to die. Heavyweight boxing is like tiddly winks compared to UFC. I can't watch it anymore... too brutal.

Yeah, Notre Dame is bad. Their RPI before this loss 172!

Yeah, some ACC teams look like they're on the wrong end of a UFC fight...
Like, Miami (Fla) loses to Nebraska. Three days later Creighton kicks the snot out of those same Cornhuskers.
The ACC has some really, really bad losses... Toledo, USC-Upstate, St Francis (NY), North Carolina Central and a bunch more that I can't think of...

Thanks brother. Good work, by the way, on the Recruiting Page. Even though I don't post there much, I check it every day.

Appreciate it. I was looking forward to seeing Lindsey but he's been out w/an ankle for Huntington Prep. That team is so deep don't know how he's going to get shoots. They're like jr UK.

um, I think you may have some bad data. I know their RPI on Monday was 204. It's now 203(playing #43 North Dakota St actually helped their RPI, despite the loss!!!)

week ago Monday- ND was #321!

It's almost like a curse that effects former BE schools. BC was great when they left and they have done nothing since, WVU was a national brand and have falling of the face of the earth, Pitts recruiting has dropped off considerably as has Cinci. Aside from Brey,s comments about his wish he was with the C7 , I never really liked the guy much and I'm happy to see him lose to these teams.
Uconn, Cuse benefited greatly by the BE tournament and are still big names with great recruits coming in, but I wonder what effect playing their conf tournament in NC and Memphis will have on recruiting.

I don't think it will have much effect as long as members of the C7 continue to schedule Cuse. If you want to cut off their recruiting at the knees, the C7 need to implement a moratorium on scheduling Syracuse. (Doing the same thing with UConn might not be a bad idea either).
