Sounds like they want to adopt full cost of attendance stipends, and that's about it. Looks like they want a situation where a conference, or possibly individual school, can adopt whatever size of stipend they see fit. I think we can live with this.

Whatever the other five do the Big East has to do. If we don't we become a mid-major and none of us want that!

This is obviously all about football. Of note, the conference not listed in the article was the new AAC. UConn, Cincy, USF, SMU, Houston, et.al., may well be left behind. The sixteen team super leagues may be just around the corner.

Legally I think if any conference wants to go along with the new requirements, they have to be allowed to do so. I know we had that back in the late 70's when 1-AA came about in football.
