Where’s Nova Headline on ESPN?

FriarBasketball.com points out how the worldwide leader manipulates headlines as a matter of routine business for it's selected interests.

"Every time Andrew Wiggins has tied his shoes this season ESPN has featured it on SportsCenter. Yet, tonight when Villanova defeated #2 Kansas (holding Wiggins to 10 points on a night in which he had four turnovers) readers of ESPN.com had to dig if they wanted to read about this one."

Odd indeed, but I see a Butler story and two about Creighton.

I'm surprised they actually had basketball on the MBB page... usually it's Ryan Braun commenting on his comments.

looking at this- there was 1:58 to go in the 1st half of the UCLA/Northwestern game. Means the Nova game would have been done by about 15 minutes. Just looked right now, and it's the #1 story on the MBB page of ESPN. Things like this make us look so small. The story has to get written up for goodness sakes.

If we want to put on our tin foil hats, we could say that the only reason those stories are up are because they mostly deal with our teams losing which devalues the product fox is putting out.

But yeah...give them some time to write the story

ESPN doesn't want you to know about pretty much the only tournament that they don't own.

RTFA

"CBS Sports had Villanova’s win as the top sports story at the time of this post."

"Half an hour after the game, the upset apparently wasn’t worthy of a headline on the site’s front page"

They do market themselves as the worldwide leader in sports.

It's ESPN where only Duke, UK, Cuse, UNC, Arizona, etc. matter. Even in 2011 when we killed Duke ESPN didn't really care. If Duke beats Grambling State it would be on the cover. If Nova beats Kansas, it won't. Just like how they love RGIII and Kaepernick and both of them are not even good. But by their coverage of them and also Tebow, you know they are biased in terms of who they like.
