Hey Guys,
With Wednesday off for the Big East, I figured we could get our Thanksgiving game thread going.
5 very big games for us.
I say we go 5-0...!
"Battle 4 Atlantis" Tourney - Bahamas.
1pm - Villanova vs Southern Cal.
7pm - Xavier vs #23 Iowa.
"Old Spice Classic" Tourney - Orlando FL.
2pm - Butler vs Washington State.
"Wooden Classic" Tourney - Fullerton CA.
4:30pm - Marquette at Cal State Fullerton.
11pm - #20 Creighton vs Arizona State.
Actually I think each is winnable. I don't know enough about #23 Iowa, but Xavier has brass ones so I feel good about the game. We could really build up momentum with a great day.

Ken Pom's odds-
Creighton vs Arizona St 82-78 62% chance of winning
Villanova vs USC 74-65 82% chance of winning
Xavier vs Iowa 72-74 40% chance of winning
Butler vs Wash St 68-63 72% chance of winning
Marquette @ CS Fullerton 70-65 70% chance of winning
4-1 projected and the most ? win being with our best team. Anything worse than 3-2 would not be good. As last weekend- tomorrow is the most important day generally speaking- because you lose and you lose out on some of the better teams in your tournament.

Marquette, Butler and Villanova have to win. After seeing Arizona State play the other night, I think that could be a tough matchup for Creighton. Xavier-Iowa is a coin flip. No worse than 3-2 and hopefully better.

Nova getting Dylan Ennis back from injury; will be interested in seeing how he blends in with the rest of the team. The guard/wing positions are a definite area of strength for us this year but having one more contributor sure isn't going to hurt. I imagine he'll see 8-10 minutes to ease into things. Def don't want to look past USC but a 2nd round game with Kansas would sure be a lot of fun.

Can't wait to see Creighton's pg tandem of Chatman & Brooks go at Jahii Carson. Marquette couldn't match up with him but I don't think CU will have same problem.

If each team brings their A game, there's no reason we can't go 5-0

FWIW #23 Iowa has beaten only 1 team with a winning record:
SF Austin (4-2)
Nebraska-OH (Div 2)
Maryland-Eastern Shore (2-3)
Abeline Christian (2-6)
Penn (2-3)
Go get em X!

We need to turn the tables on the Big 10. So far they've slapped us around a bit.

The competition has been so weak that after five games Iowa has 10 guys averaging 5.0 ppg or more....10! I probably could have posted a solid 2.5 ppg.
