...Providence College for women's cross country! Butler and Georgetown were also in the top 5 finishers for the NC. Great start for the Big East.

Like a number of Big East schools - Villanova comes to mind - PC has always had very good crooks county teams. Must be those ringers they bring in from Ireland.

St. John's soccer, lacrosse, and baseball have also been among the best in the old Big East. Looking to continue that. It's important for our schools to be well-balanced in terms of success in sports. Basketball first and foremost, but any deep runs in tournaments will bring more notoriety to the conference.
