Xavier will contribute nicely to the Big East moving forward. It worked for three decades to put itself in a place that led the C7 to invite it into the club.

I seriously doubt any regrets will occur over that decision from here: http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketball/story/xavier-head-coach-chris-mack-may-have-perfect-marriage-111813

I really like his story.

Kind of tough to seeing JT3 or Buzz coaching a 3rd grade girls hoops team isn't it?

Mike Rice would be harder to picture. Although, the video would be worth money later.

I mean seriously... can you imagine walking into a grade school gym being the only dad who would volunteer to coach, and seeing who you are up against? :o

I've coached a game with sudden death basketball- had about a minute of time probably in the session- it was one of the most exciting things I ever coached.

This was a great article. Lots of insights as to why Xavier is playing as well as they are in a season with lowered expectations and no David Wests on the roster. Thanks for posting it!
