11/17 BE games

What no thread for todays games? Not surprised, guess I'll start one. (On second thought, snarky sarcastic comments deleted)

Villanova beats Towson 78-44 and game was even that close. Nova used a balanced attack led by J. Bell and smothering D that forced 24 TO's. Next game vs. Delaware before heading to the Battle for Atlantis tourney.

Towson was 3-0 going into game with a good win against Temple on Thursday. Preseason favorite in the CAA and likely NCAA team, led by former Hoya Jerrelle Benimon. Game was on Fox Sports 1.

W36, you beat me to it; you postedwhile I was still composing my thread. If Ochefu can provide the same D and rebounding with an occasional throw down offensively, I think we could be the team to beat this year. Bell, Arch! Hilliard and Pinkston all can light it up. Also looking forward to Ennis return. We are very deep this year at guard and wing. I like how we are looking so far.

Yeah I agree Gumby, we're looking very promising. Sharing the ball, balanced scoring, limiting TO's, taking good shots(well 85% of the time), forcing TO's and hustling on D; lots to like. All this without Ennis playing a minute yet.

But this board has spoken, Nova is a mediocre, middle of the road, run of the mill, NIT team.

Saw the game, nice beat down by Nova. Towson already beat Temple so they are a decent team.

Wouldn't you say he's the most explosive player on the roster. Looking forward to seeing him play. Great win Nova fans.

Haven't seen him play but all indications are that he is very athletic, quick, and well rounded. I've heard reports of him being the best player in practice last year. Former C-USA Frosh of the year, so he has proven that he c an play well at the college level. I guess we'll see in Dec when back healthy.

We are crazy deep at guard and wing this year. Just hoping everyone sticks to team-first attitude. Seems Jay is going to keep rotating waves of players in.

Yeah that's why I thought it wasn't all bad when he got hurt. Give J sometime to figure out minutes for a player like Josh Hart.

Says who? Even before Marquette got spanked I thought Nova had a legitimate chance of being a top 15 team and winning the conference. Nova is a rock. Consistent, always good, always competitive, and always starts out with little hype but always seems to make the tourney and knock off some big guys.

That's a slight exaggeration, but it's pretty much been this whole boards opinion all off-season that Nova isn't as good as Marquette, Creighton, Georgetown, St. John's, and maybe Providence. I'm just preparing everyone for the "I told you so", later in the year if Nova is as good as I think they're going to be.
