Trying to gauge where we are so far...

PC win over BC considered good until we see BC drop to 0-3 after losing again tonight. SHU beat what looked like a good team in Kent St (because they had beaten Temple) but realize that Temple can't be that good if they lose to Towson. Gtwn, who I think is our best team loses to the 2nd or 3rd best Pac12 team, who were missing a couple of their key players.

The best performance is prob XU over Tenn or SJU who at least battled back against a very good Wisconsin team. Should we be worried that maybe we are not as collectively good as we think? I guess the MU-OSU game will be a good barometer of where we are near the top of the league. Hopefully we can all make some noise in some of these holiday tourneys.

Yeah, the BC loss to Toledo was a surprise... they may just have been so demoralized because of their previous losses and have lost an edge...?

PC needs to just stay focused for the full 40 minutes in our upcoming schedule. Though there is no excuse for such a close game, we're hoping that we just became complacent after the early 17-point lead over Brown Wednesday.

Along with Marquette, the Creighton game at St Joe's will tell us a lot.

St Joe's is not a tourney team; they are a mid tier, mid major. They are a local rival of Nova so we know them well. If CU loses to them it will be considered a questionable loss on their resume come March. Any away game in hostile territory can be tough but there is no reason CU can't take care of business handily.

If CU loses to them it will be considered a questionable loss on their resume come March. Life on the road is tough, especially against a team with 5 seniors on their team. While I think CU has a great chance of winning this game, it would not shock me if they lose.

Too early to judge where the conference is. I agree with Dew that we'll know much more after Thanksgiving.

We have beaten the teams we should beat, won the toss-ups (PC over BC and X over Tenn.), and have only one "bad" loss by DePaul which is not one of our projected NCAA teams. The SJU and G'Town losses were neutral contests against very good ranked squads. PC's win over BC fades a bit as BC continues to lose, but it's good that we won that. And Xavier was not getting a ton of love, but beat a good Tennessee team which might have been favored (not sure if they were). So it's early, but we are doing OK. If we can swipe a nice win that is not expected that would be great.

At the moment we are doing better than ok or average. If you believe like I do that Depaul's loss wasn't a bad loss, only the BE & B1G have yet to have a bad loss. Every other power conference has at least one, with most having multiple. That's not including all the close calls that many leagues including the BE have had over "lesser" competition. The BE is going strong relatively speaking.
