This Friday at Marquette Madness we will have some fox presence. Im wondering if they are going to rebroadcast this on the 25th as Marquette's "event"

Marquette University men’s and women’s basketball fans will get their first look at the 2013-14 teams Friday night at 7 p.m. when the programs host the annual Marquette Madness event at the Al McGuire Center.

Admission is free, but seating in the arena is limited. MUTV will feature a live broadcast, which will be available for free online at GoMarquette.com. FOX Sports 1 will also be in attendance in advance of its BIG EAST Tipoff Party program on Oct. 25.

Highlights of Friday night’s activities include:

Free T-shirts (distributed in the arena)
Free FOX Sports 1 foam fingers (first 1,000 fans)
Team introduction videos
Free men’s and women’s schedule posters
Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony
Dunk contest
3-point contest
Men’s and women’s team scrimmages

Haven't seen a spiffy poster but PC released their info. Looks like Fox will be taping and editing these, very cool though looking forward to catching a peek at all 10. I can't speak for others but PC fans are saying this years' host is a step up, I think Fox is building it up a bit for their national telecast. Fine by me!





PROVIDENCE COLLEGE TO HOLD LATE NIGHT MADNESS
FESTIVITIES ON OCTOBER 25

FOX Sports 1 and celebrity DJ Nick Cannon will be part of the event.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s and women’s basketball teams will tip off the 2013-14 season with Late Night Madness festivities beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25 in Mullaney Gymnasium on the Providence College campus. The event will feature DJ Nick Cannon, the host of America’s Got Talent and Wild ‘N Out. FOX Sports 1 will be capturing video of the event for its BIG EAST Tip Off Party that will air live from 9:00-11:00 p.m. that evening.

This year’s Late Night Madness only is open to Providence College students. The event is FREE, but in order for a student to be guaranteed admittance to the event they must purchase a 2013-14 Providence College men’s basketball student season ticket package. All Providence College men’s basketball student season ticket holders can pick up their Late Night Madness tickets on Wednesday, October 23 in the lobby of Schneider Arena from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and on Thursday, October 24 from noon-4:00 p.m. Any remaining tickets to Late Night Madness that are not being used by student season ticket holders will be distributed to Providence College students on Thursday, October 24 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the lobby of Schneider Arena on a first come, first served basis.

Third-year Friar Head Coach Ed Cooley and his squad will be introduced to the crowd at 8:00 p.m. Doors to the event will open at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.

Some of the highlights of the night will be a slam dunk competition featuring members of the men’s basketball team. Senior guard Bryce Cotton, who won the 2010, 2011 and 2012 slam dunk competitions, will attempt to defend his titles. Former Friar greats will serve as the celebrity judges of the slam dunk competition.

Second-year Friar Women’s Head Coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl and her team will be introduced at 7:55 p.m. Once the men’s and women’s teams have been introduced, there will be a student dance competition. At 9:00 p.m., DJ Nick Cannon will hold a dance party for all fans in attendance in Mullaney Gym.

In celebration of the new BIG EAST and upcoming men’s basketball season, Fox Sports 1 is gathering video footage from each conference school for their two-hour Tip-Off Party on Oct. 25. Be part of Butler’s shoot by joining us at Hinkle for an 8 p.m. scrimmage, performances by the cheerleaders, an autograph session, and more. Doors and concessions open at 7:30 p.m. The Tip-Off show will air on Oct. 25 from 9-11 p.m. EST.

BASKETBALL TIPOFF featuring B.o.B
Friday, 7:30 PM, McDonough Arena
While practice started a few weeks ago, we are officially kicking off the basketball season with Basketball Tipoff this Friday. The men's and women's teams will be introduced and the event will be covered live across the Big East on Fox Sports 1. A little basketball, music, and the usual JTIII dancing will be highlighted with B.o.B performing live.
