I read it differently. For RPI purposes, every school in the Big East needs to schedule for a base number of wins. Xavier only has so much room for tough, home and home opponents on its schedule. Those slots are taken for this year and next. If they weren't, there would probably still be more desirable candidates. Dayton gets up for X like no other, making it an unusually difficult to win for the risk taken.

Couple that with the fact that Coach Mack's wife, a former star basketball player for Dayton, was relentlessly heckled the last time X played at UD. I think that also plays a part.

I have nothing to say on this matter. And it feels good. Really, really good. Like a breath of fresh air, one in which I know will last for at least two years.
