Big East will begin talks with Fox this winter on media rights extension. That's when the exclusive negotiating period starts, before the league's able to talk to any other network. Val: "The partnership’s very strong... We’re optimistic we’ll stay in business [with them]."

For our 3rd partner, rather than ESPN (who may bury us), what does everyone think of Peacock/ NBC/ USA Network?

Agreed, anyone but ESPN. I'm good without having to try and search to find my game on ESPN+ next to the likes of Stonehill, Detroit Mercy, and Tennessee Tech. A streaming service makes sense for the third media partner. Rumors of a Peacock and Paramount+ merger so don't know how that could effect things. I would prefer Apple TV+ because personally I think it carries the most cachet.

so you can search to find on Peacock, but can't search to find on ESPN+? That's pretty rich there.

I think if it's a 3rd thing, it'll be ESPN guaranteed.

If ESPN is the 3rd partner for what might be 10-20 games. Is that on ESPN/2 or ESPN+. Time will tell.

I like that there's no mention of Fox demanding expansion.

I've found Peacock easy to use. Regular standard smart TV its icon is next to Hulu, Apple Tv, (HBO) Max, Netflix, all the standard stuff. I actually dont know where ESPN+ is.

Also, if it's like the English Premier League, they utilize USA Network and regular NBC for games too. As a 3rd option it might be a good choice.

Plus getting some NFL-- Peacock televised the Miami-Chiefs playoff in January.
