Small problem with that....

in 2016 first 2 weeks..... Big Fox had all of 1 game. FS1 had 6 games. This year- Big Fox with 5 games. FS1 still with 6 games.

FS1 average for those 6 games in both years-
2016 815.5 k average
2017 774.7k average

Can't believe I even let myself read a Stever response, let alone respond, but here it is.
Don't you always preach inventory?
Simple math.
16 - 7 total games times 815k average = 5.7 mill viewers
17 - 11 total games times 774k average = 8.5 mill viewers
That means 2.8 mill more views during the 1st 2 weeks.
Let's see how the goalpost moves now.

Small problem. Both in 2016 and 2017, FS1 had 6 games. The average in the 2017 games is down by 41k from 2016 games on FS1.

The difference is Big Fox has more games. But that doesn't really help FS1 out much, now does it?

Oh, I don't know Stever, aren't there any advantages to FS1 of having viewers watching a game on FOX? None at all? Did you study any business classes at NOVA (or the other glorious institutions you mentioned in your come clean post)? Or were you too fascinated with Freud's Oedipus complex theory?

You cannot be this feckin stupid (I don't think) so that just means you're an arse. Or maybe you're a stupid feckin' arse.

On that note, I should go get a martini, up with olive, before I get mean. Cheers.

what will really help FS1 with their ratings is getting better games for FS1, not for other games to be on Fox. A lot of people just want to watch a good matchup and will go to some degree wherever it is. As long as FS1 has games like tomorrow's NIU/Nebraska game as the only FS1 game- FS1 isn't going to get great ratings. Next week FS1 gets UCF/Maryland, Baylor/Oklahoma, and Washington/Colorado(at 10pm). Only the last 1 is a good game- and it's really late.

Someone isn't going to flip to a worse game just because it's on a sister network. The matchups drive things. The Reason why ESPN dominates FS1 is that ESPN gets way better matchups. I mean look at next week. I gave you FS1's games. ESPN gets Arkansas/Texas A&M, Georgia/Miss St, UCLA/Stanford, and then either BC/Clemson, TCU/Oklahoma St, or USC/California. You can make the argument that all 4 ESPN games are better than any of the FS1's.

What is your unhealthy obsession with FOX and FS1?

Someone posts college football viewing on FOX and FS1 up 120+%.... most on here glance and think, oh good for them and move on, not really to think of it again. Not Steve - something positive mentioned about FOX Sports, multiple post, paragraph upon paragraph responses.

It's an odd hobby, that's for sure.

My problem is when PR guys put out extremely misleading information.

Folks would think looking at that- that the ratings for FS1 are up by that much. And that's just not the case at all.

Like it or not, FS1 has it's problems. tonight having the great USC/Texas game isn't going to help FS1 out 1 bit.

Couples things you are not seeing here. The past few years the FS1 games would have ended up on FOX. Now, you get a solid triple header to join the two big ones on FOX. Oklahoma turns the needle and is ranked #3 and has a very sexy match up in the late night with the rematch of last season's PAC 12 Title Game. Comparison with ESPN and FS1 really isn't fair when ESPN has tons more inventory of games.
