Lunardi has UConn, Seton Hall and Xavier all in the last 4 in today.

That's a great sign.

To me, UConn and Xavier should be locks, due to wins vs USC and Oklahoma, and no bad losses. And because they're both great teams.

I think we'll get a 5th team when everything plays out, and that is 90% due to Marquette kicking the sh-t out of UNC last night.

Seton Hall and St John's are right on the doorstep. PC is a little further down.

The whole league jumped up significantly from that victory. I'm also hoping it's enough to get that 5th bid.

At this point, I think the Big East has four teams in - Creighton, Nova, Xavier and UConn. I think Seton Hall is right there but if they don't win this week, they are done. As to SJU, they need a sweep this week and a couple of wins in the BE Tourny to get any consideration and even then it would be questionable. Still a good amount of hoops to be played. Interesting week ahead.

Brutal for Big East. We are inching closer to a 3 bid league. Nova without Gillespie, Creighton and our off court issues and UConn who will probably be an 8 seed. Looks unlikely any team will make it out of the first weekend...
