This week PC plays URI and DePaul plays George Washington. The Big East is 12-2 vs the A10 the last 2 years w/ avg margin of 15.21 points.

St Joe's is the program that has been most abused under the new alignment with an 0-3 (46-74 Nova, 68-98 Nova, and 70-96 Creighton)

I think you're off on that score Edrick. CU won 83-79 at St. Joe's last year. How I remember that so well is that DM hit a huge shot in a tie game at the end of that game. I hate St. Joe's U(PA), so I recall jumping out of my seat when that occurred. :D And I certainly don't want to make excuses for them but losing to 3 Top 10-15 teams is probably not their fault. LaSalle also lost to Nova twice and PC once during that stretch for an 0-3 record.

We've played St. Joseph's several times in the last few year. In 2010 we won 82-75 in Omaha, in 2011 we lost 80-71 in Philadelphia, in 2012 we won 80-51 in Omaha, and last year we won 83-79 in Philadelphia as Gumby said.

wow-
just looked at Ken-Pom. PC went down from 53 to 89 after tonight's game.

HIs projected standings very interesting-
Nova 14-4 26-5
Georgetown 11-7 19-10
Butler 10-8 21-10
St John's 10-8 21-10
Xavier 9-9 19-12
Creighton 9-9 20-11
Seton Hall 9-9 19-11
PC 7-11 15-16
Marquette 6-12 13-17
DePaul 4-14 12-17(plus 2 other games in Hawaii)

starting to see some possible separation at the bottom. Which is good to me. That kind of final standings(if not frankly a bit more spread out at the bottom) is what it would take to get 6 or even 7 in the tourney.

The Big 'east remains solid at #2, but last night was an enormous set back for Providence, coming on the heels of their previous downgrade after the BC loss.

Don't understand how they could not have St. John's in this mix especially after they beat Syr at Syr. and they are still in the mix.

Unless the top four teams in the BE really seperate themselves fromt he next two or three, then if the BE has four teams with top 8 seeds in the tournament, we will have five in minimum. IMO, no way is a league good enough top to bottom to have four top 8 seeds and not have at least one or two others deserving of a 10, 11 or 12 seed - unless, like I said, those four are all like 13-5 or better and no one else is above .500 in the league.
