Xavier just couldn't follow up their great 1st half of the season with a good 2nd half of the season. Go from 15-4 to now 6-9 after tonight's loss.

Hopefully Semaj decides to come back now. I think X will be very good next year with their recruiting class and Christon/Stainbrook returning.

Very disappointing result here. Need the other Big East teams to step up.

Hey, Warren is a great player and NC State played a great game.

Congrats to our Xavier compadres on a fantastic season and looking forward to them having a great season next year.

NC State is just better. Significantly better. I know we're all trying to pump up our league here but if you were looking at it objectively this result shouldn't have been surprising. I have great hope for the future of this league but this year the Big East was just not very good and tonight was symbolic of that.

Xavier pulled within one I think it was and then it was the TJ Warren show... they just pulled away - apparently Warren set a new NC State record for points in a season during this game.

X really embarrassed the league tonight. Probably the worst tournament performance in Xavier history. Hoping that Creighton, Nova and Providence can pick us up.

The game was a 4 to 8 point game most of the way. When X started gambling to make up points in the last 6 minutes, the margin got wider. Warren was great and hit some tough shots. NC State has Lewis and Vanderberg, plus the 500 lb guy, who were useless on offense. I'm not going to break down XU's gameplan right now cuz I don't want to irritate XU fans and the rest of us right now, but they needed to play more aggressively and show some muscle and give some hard fouls... there were a number of fast break layups that were uncontested with a Muskie just conceding the 2 points, but which needed and required hard fouls to make NC State get a little bit of fear, plus make them earn points from the line. Just my 2 cents.
