I think the later start actually hurt Marquette a lot. When did their players find out about the delay? This morning? Having to wait 7 extra hours isn't a good thing at all.

Typical UC fan’s reaction: “well, this is their Super Bowl.”

We are now 3 wins out of the last 3 games.

8 wins out the last 11.

And something like 18 out of the last 25.

Sure, it’s our Super Bowl.

Any UC fan that claims it's Xavier's Super Bowl should really take a look at the tournament win discrepancy in the last couple decades. That kind of attitude was spewed out by Mick Cronin so much because it was the only way he could deal with losing that game all those times.

Looks like we all have to deal with another Max Struss, unfortunately.

I'm gonna guess it probably was your super bowl back when you guys were the mid majors and they were in the Big East. It's kinda funny how that's changed. Lol

Yeah 25 points each last 2 games, his game mirrors McBuckets, he's turning into out go to scorer.

That is nightmare material right there....thanks a lot!

Seriously though, McBuckets is in a different stratosphere. Strus 2.0 is more than enough to give us all high anxiety.

Kalk is amazing. Your freshman definitely look BEast ready and if O'Connell can get his act together, you guys are going to be prickly!!

Actually, you could say that probably up to the point we beat them in 1996 when Huggy Bear had them at #1. Everything changed when we built the Cintas Center and kept moving forward through our coaching transitions. UC moving to the Big East would’ve been a problem, except for the fact that they hired Mic Cronin as their coach and we were already recruiting at a higher level.

UC will (should) benefit from the move to the B12. Of course, anything would be an improvement over the AAC. But it’s still fool’s gold, IMO. The B12 stays a P5 after Texas and OU leave? Its TV contract to-be will show otherwise.

It sure as hell is not our Super Bowl, but it would be better for the Shootout to be a little more competitive - Xavier winning by 10 instead of 20.

As for Cincinnati and the Big 12 new tv contract will be interesting. The money will be there for the new members. Interesting what CBS does losing the SEC.
