Yeah, I think its better to be an 11 than a 9 or 10 seed.

Lol of course they did. The bracketologists projected your position in or out of the field based on your resume at that moment. Your resume improved with each win.

Coach K is already crying about the lack of respect the ACC will get today from the NCAA committee.

I bet Coach K still stays up at night thinking about the Selection Sunday when the BE put 11 teams in the tourney. It just has to tear him up inside. Good stuff.

was looking at the bracketology from Lunardi from back in November to now....
pretty interesting...

for the at large teams... 26/36 teams he picked in Nov are in his bracket now...

His 10 misses from before the season:
Marquette 4
Georgetown 6
Notre Dame 8
Boise 9
Indiana 9
UNLV 10
La Salle 10
St John's 11
LSU 11 PIG
Alabama 12 pig

are now:
Oklahoma 6
GW 8
Texas 8
UMass 9
Ariz St 10
St Joe's 10
SMU 11
Dayton 11 pig
Nebraska 11 pig
Xavier 11 pig

Of the 13 auto bid teams he had wrong, 7 of them played in the title game.

Take Lunardi with a grain of salt. Sure, he's probably the most popular "bracketologist" out there, but in terms of actual picks, he's in the middle of the pack when it comes to accuracy. Hell, he doesn't even use the same RPI formula that the committee does.

Stever and I actually went back and forth on this, and I came to his side on the issue. Overall, over the past however many years, Lunardi has been classified as average on Bracket Project. In the last couple of years, though, he has performed really well. I still think Jeff Borzello and Patrick Stevens are better bracketologists, but Lunardi I would classify as good. Jerry Palm is decidedly mediocre, though.

I think it's funny- if you look at the bracket matrix right now. Of all the brackets- 88 of them- for the 1st 4 out, you have Southern Miss in 11, Minnesota in 7, Cal and FSU in 6, and then 12 odd selections from 7 teams. Add those up and you have 42 picks. So at least 46 bracketologists have the same 68 teams in the tourney.
