VCU @ St. Louis on ESPN right now. Arena looks good..sold out, white-out game and the crowd is loud. Has the feeling of a major college b-ball game.

It was a heck of a game. Solid D on both sides. Didn't get to see the end because I went to MU-X game.

Yeah, I ditched the DePaul game too. It ended up a tight 2 point game with SLU winning. Great crowd, and Bob Knight was one of the announcers. He really was hard on the officials, and at times both teams. It was refreshing to hear an analyst not give the party line, and have more to say than just add adjectives and adverbs to a play.

I think the tourney results and MSG atmosphere this year will have an impact on when expansion happens. If we have a crappy turnout at MSG, get 3 bids, and nobody gets to the sweet 16, I think we expand sooner. Decent turnout at MSG, 4-5 bids, and Nova/Creighton both make sweet 16 (or elite 8), then we probably take our time and see how things shake out. Really, though, there's no way for us to definitively say what the presidents' expectations or plans are.

I would add SLU and stop. 10 home and homes will be outstanding. No need for even # of teams.

Coach Knight was letting everybody have it. 10,639 in the house for a Chaifetz record attendance.

He has his issues, but I love Knight as an analyst. A question for SLU fans... did it bother you when they (I actually don't recall if Knight ever did this) referred to the team as "slew" or "Saint Louis U" ? I suppose they didn't want to confuse things by saying S-L-U when playing V-C-U but I don't know why they wouldn't just say "Saint Louis"

Saint Louisan and graduate says "Slew", S-L-U, Saint Louis U, and Saint Louis are all acceptable. "St. Louis" is not.

Saint Louisan and graduate says "Slew", S-L-U, Saint Louis U, and Saint Louis are all acceptable. "St. Louis" is not.

I was told "SLUm" was an acceptable term as well.

Most of us are big girls and boys now and permitted to stay up until midnight even on weekday nights. Others, who may not have that permission, may have DVR's so that they can watch the Gonzaga games at the times of their choice.

Sponsors really love it when you fast forward through their ads. Makes them want to give up the big bucks.
